A few words about my photograpy

The photography of Maurizio Maier is characterized by a careful search of essential and minimalist aspects togheter with a profound attention payed to technical precision.
Most part of his work is devoted to still-life and design but is not to exclude his interest directed towards portrait, architecture and each reality with any aesthetic, historical and artistic value.

Early years in Italy

Born on may 5, 1972, in Trieste, Italy, he studied at the Art Institute "E.U.Nordio" of Trieste.
Togheter with his interest in art, Maurizio Maier developed his love for photography, that brought him to visit frequently the Triestine photographic studio Azimut (specialized in still-life), working there as an assistant.

The cooperation with the Azimut studio resulted in publishing of following catalogues:

Recent years in Vienna

After moving to Vienna in 2003, he started his new career as the assistant of the Italian photographer Claudio Alessandri, who introduced him to portrait, advertising and industrial photography, working together on several projects as these books:
